El cantante cubano Jon Secada y el haitiano Wyclef Jean recibirá un premio el próximo 16 de marzo de manos de la Asociación dominicana de Cronistas de Arte (Acroarte) durante la entrega anual de los premios Casandra, el principal galardón que se concede en el país, informaron hoy medios locales. |

Los dos interpretes recibirán un Casandra Internacional por sus destacadas carreras artísticas, precisaron los directivos de dicha asociación en declaraciones a medios locales.
Los premios Casandra reconocen la labor de representantes del mundo del arte y la cultura. Se crearon en 1985 en recuerdo de la cantante y bailarina dominicana Casandra Damirón, fallecida dos años antes.
Estos premios han reconocido la carrera musical de artistas como Celia Cruz, Johnny Pacheco, Marc Anthony, Chayanne, Juanes, Paulina Rubio, Paloma San Basilio y David Bisbal, y de actores como la mexicana Lucía Méndez, la venezolana Lupita Ferrer y el cubano César Evora |
